The forced stop caused by Covid-19 and the resulting economic crisis did not discourage many companies to undertake new projects or to continue with the scheduled investment program. "As entrepreneurs, we can do nothing but look forward" said Massimo Galbiati, Sales Manager of Praim, the company of the Galbiati Group specialized in the production of packing materials and accessories. "It would be wrong to stop at a time like this. On the contrary, it's time to face the situation". For this reason, the group was among the first to formalize its presence at Made in Steel 2021, and "I hope that the other companies will do the same and that many of them will sign up, to show that the steel industry, although in great difficulty, is moving forward".

Galbiati Family will be present at the ninth edition of the Conference & Exhibition with new developments, including a project on the safety of packaging handling and the use of BESTRAP steel strapping. "Made in Steel is what a trade fair must represent today" explained Galbiati. "It is an important meeting for the steel industry, very useful in establishing and strengthening connections". And thanks to the concomitance with MADE expo and Transpotec Logitec, "it could become a real business platform, opening up negotiations" - analyzed Galbiati.

Confidence in the future, new investments, and the need to meet customers and suppliers are the sentiment shared also by Metallurgica Legnanese, which sees in Made in Steel an opportunity to "meet and discuss with many customers, colleagues, and operators in the sector. Meetings and networking will be even more important in the next year's edition, which will follow a 2020 characterized for the most part by mandatory social distancing" stressed Siro Della Flora, Sole Director of the company from Rescaldina (MI). "In March 2021 we hope to finally have left this tragedy behind us" added Della Flora. "At the same time, we want to be positive and grab the opportunities that even the worst crises can offer. For this reason, we’re carrying on with our investment plans and further expanding of the covered warehouse destined to increase the offer to our customers. We believe that organizing at the same time three events such as Made in Steel, MADE expo and Transpotec Logitec could represent an opportunity to work together as a system and to generate good results".

The shared wish is therefore to start again, through new investments but above all by adopting a systematic approach. "In the steel industry, especially at a time like the one we are living, we have to create a direct dialogue throughout the whole supply chain" said Luigi Rapullino, CEO of Sideralba. "Made in Steel, for us, is an event not to be missed. In just three days, we can combine many appointments and meetings, which would normally take months. We have been attending the event since its first edition and we intend to continue this tradition. The concomitance with the other two B2B events is brilliant" he added, "because it will allow us to cross interdependent sectors, and make a business system out of them".
