The ninth edition of the Steel Conference & Exhibition beyond expectations

A desire for rebirth, a wish to restart and a touch of magic could be felt in the air among the pavilions of fieramilano Rho during Made in Steel 2021. An enthusiasm confirmed by the numbers of the ninth edition of the main Conference & Exhibition in Southern Europe of the steel industry, organised by siderweb - La community dell'acciaio, which went above and beyond all expectations.

Made in Steel 2021 was the first international event in attendance for the steel industry in the world since the outbreak of the pandemic. It offered the protagonists of the steel value chain, operators, exhibitors and visitors a packed agenda of high-level conferences, with over 30 national and international speakers, amongst whom Alec Ross, innovation advisor to the Obama administration.

The three-day event (5-7 October) hosted 184 exhibitors, including 22 coming from abroad and representing 15 countries, on an exhibition area of about 10,000 square metres.

It was a great success especially in terms of attendance, which reached 13,505 people from 68 countries.

The numbers for Digital MIS - Expoplaza, the digital platform supporting business and a virtual meeting place for visitors and exhibitors, were also decidedly positive. Together with the www.madeinsteel.it website, were accessed by a total of 42,679 users and 134,086 page hits.

An edition titled "RENAISSANCE - Here begins the steel rebirth" followed and broadcast by siderweb TV. Live streams of the conferences from the Siderweb Conference Room, interviews with the protagonists of the steel supply chain, as well as in-depth analyses and institutional videos by exhibitors. More than 20 hours of live streaming on the channel created specifically for Made in Steel 2021. A proposal much appreciated by the community, viewed more than 7,000 times on the siderweb You Tube channel.

A desire for rebirth also extended to the social world, as demonstrated by the performance of our Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin pages: more than 80,000 hits on the platforms during the three days of the event.

See you in 2023 for the tenth edition of Made in Steel!
